Yu-Ning is currently Acting Deputy CEO and Chief Planner of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) where she oversees the urban planning of Singapore.
She was previously Director of Land & Liveability in the Strategy Group of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). In this role, she helped strengthen strategic alignment on land and infrastructure issues across government. Yu-Ning has also held various appointments in the URA and the Ministry of National Development. Her experience ranges from long term strategic planning to local urban design and master planning. It also extends to land use and development control policies, the conservation of built heritage and government land sales.
Given her experience in urban planning, she has been invited to serve on professional advisory panels such as the International Urban Development Association’s Panel of Practitioners and judging panels for professional institutes such as the Singapore Institute of Planners and the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects. She currently sits on the Council for Estate Agencies’ Appeal Board. She is also on the executive committee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Singapore’s National Council and co-chairs ULI Singapore’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.
Yu-Ning was trained as an architect at the National University of Singapore. She subsequently obtained a Master in Public Policy & Urban Planning degree from Harvard University. She is married with 2 children.
